E.H. Taylor Small Batch! A celebrated expression from the Buffalo Trace Distillery, Taylor Small Batch is named after Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor Jr., a pivotal figure in the history of American whiskey. Taylor was instrumental in the establishment of the modern bourbon industry in the late 19th century, advocating for quality and regulation that would ensure high standards in production. Known for its rich and complex notes, it features a harmonious blend of caramel sweetness, vanilla, and oak, complemented by hints of spice and a touch of fruitiness, such as dried fruit or citrus. The mouthfeel is generally full and smooth, leading to a warm, lingering finish that showcases the whiskey’s depth and craftsmanship.

Russell's Reserve 10 year! This fantastic offering from Wild Turkey Russell's Reserve is an absolute treat. A small batch offering with aromatics of orange peel, butterscotch and vanilla leave a palate of caramel, vanilla and oak with hints of spice and citrus. If the Russell's put their signature on it you know we're going to drink it. Originally released as a 101 proof back in 2001, this 90 proof 10 year old bourbon makes a fantastic old fashioned. Come give it a try and if you enjoy we've got some 15 year on the shelf as well!

We've got a banger this week! Heaven Hill Bottled in Bond is a homage to the original bonded bourbon released by Heaven Hill in 1939, which quickly rose to become the best selling bourbon in Kentucky. Aged for 7 years, this bourbon has a warm vanilla and caramel nose, with hints of toasted oak and cinnamon spice. The palate is full bodied with caramel and honey sweetness alongside nutmeg and clove baking spices. Our Bar Manager Walker's personal favorite, we are also excited to announce a Heaven Hill Flight! We were fortunate enough to get a bottle of the Grain to Glass release this year which is paired with the bonded 7 year, the 18 year bourbon and 19 year wheated whiskey. At the low low price of $100 you can taste through some of the stand outs released by one of our favorite distilleries!

This week we are featuring Willett Pot Still Reserve! Originally introduced in 2008 as a single barrel bourbon, this small batch is packed with flavors of vanilla, honey, and spices with a velvety texture and notes of caramel, dark fruit, and toasted nuts. The beautiful bottle is a nod to the copper still that played a key role in the character of Willett bourbon. At $8 and ounce we are also offering a special Old Fashioned featuring corn infused brown sugar, don't miss this special feature running all weekend!

Will Turkey Rare Breed! Jimmy Russell knew what he was doing when he introduced this barrel proof banger back in 1991. Coming in strong at 116.8 proof and boasting rich flavors of oak, caramel, cherry and dried apricots. $10/oz! We're also running a $22 Rare Breed Manhattan, come and see what it's all about!

Here at Longleaf Swine we pride ourselves on the top shelf we serve, and our Bar Manager Walker is going to be putting together weekly whiskey features to spread our love and knowledge of whiskey to our guests. We're starting out with a heavy hitter- Blanton's. Folks have been enjoying Blanton's as America's first single barrel bourbon since 1984 and it is one of Elmer T.
